GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) recently declared its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. For the second quarter, the organization yielded an impressive sales growth of 22% over 2010 which is 8% more growth than the same period in 2010. For the second quarter, net sales were at ¬¬¬Rs 653 crs, with PBT growing by 14% to Rs. 122 crs and PAT growing by 15% to Rs.82 crs for the same period. This growth has been equally supported by contribution from all regions.

Commenting on the results,Mr. Zubair Ahmed, Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd.said, "Despite challenging environment of rising commodity prices and high input costs, the Company has posted excellent results."
