Ready, Steady, Go….  GSK Consumer Healthcare organises the ‘Boost Race of Champions’

<<City>>, September 22, 2015: GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare’s choco-malt sports drink Boost has introduced the ‘Boost Race of Champions’, the first-of-its-kind athletic event for schools across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. With the successful execution of the current module in villages, the brand is scaling up the event and is reaching out to over 200 towns this year. This year’s theme is ‘Daudenge, Jeetenge, Aage Badhenge. (Will run, will win, will move ahead)’

In line with the brand’s promise of providing 3X stamina, the activity is designed to identify and encourage budding athletic talent among children. A 200-metre race for children aged between 10- 16 years, the Boost Race of Champions will commence on September 28 in <<Vijaywada>>. During various legs of the campaign, children stand a chance to become their class champ and school champ and win exciting prizes. The activation has already been commenced in TN where it’s getting overwhelming response from the students as well as the schools.

Commenting on the activation, Mr. Prashant Pandey, EVP Marketing, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare said, “The primary motive behind this activity is to promote sports and fitness among kids. Running is a simple and effective way to stay active and healthy. Through this activity, we aim to create excitement and educate kids and their parents to identify the need to consume right nutrition that helps in enhancing their stamina and overall health.”

Boost has always been a strong brand with a loyal consumer base, particularly in its core markets of South where it is the number 2 HFD brand, second only to Horlicks. A clear and focused strategy, coupled with brilliant in-market execution has helped Boost grow in its core markets.
