Gurgaon, April 25, 2016: GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd, today announced the appointment of Sawan Malik as Executive Vice President-Sales for India reporting into Manoj Kumar, Managing Director for India Sub-Continent. Sawan succeeds Siddharth Singh who has moved to Singapore in a new regional role as VP Commercial Excellence for Asia, Middle East & Africa region (AMA) reporting into Zubair Ahmed, Regional Head, AMA.

Announcing the appointment, Manoj Kumar, said “I am delighted to welcome Sawan to the GSK family. He brings with him experience across various functions and geographies. This and his deep understanding of our market will further augment our sales capability. I wish him success in his new role.”

An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Sawan brings with him 17 years of rich experience & joins the company from the Lodha Group, where he was heading the Luxury Business unit and International Sales. Prior to that, he was the Head of Retail Management – APAC Region for Microsoft based in Beijing. He has also served as the Head of the Global Distribution Channel at the Nokia Corporation in Finland. Prior to Nokia, Sawan worked with Proctor & Gamble for 12 years and has worked across various positions before being made the Sales Director, North and East Division for India.
