GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited announces results for the quarter ended December 31, 2017
Comparable* Revenue growth of 19%, PBT growth of 23%
Highlights for the third quarter ended December 31, 2017
- Revenue for the quarter is at Rs. 1,035 Cr and Profit before tax (PBT) at Rs. 253 Cr
- Health food drink portfolio continues to be the market leader with 55.7% (Value share) and 64.1% (Volume share) – (MAT December 2017)
Gurugram, 12 February 2018: GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited today declared its financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2017. The comparable* Revenue for the company recorded a growth of 19% on the back of a strong performance by Base Horlicks and Boost across regions. As a result, the quarter recorded revenue of Rs. 1,035 Cr, while the PBT for the quarter is at Rs. 253 Cr, which is a growth of 23%
Commenting on the results, Navneet Saluja, Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited said, “We have delivered a strong Q3 owing to robust performances by Base Horlicks and Boost that witnessed increased market penetration and access. Our distribution for Health Food Drinks during the quarter was also amongst the best we have witnessed for some time now.”
“We are confident that domestic consumer demand led by a revival in rural markets owing to the Government’s strong focus on rural development and higher spending on health and nutrition will create positive momentum for the sector.”
