GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare posts strong Q1 '06 PAT growth at 30.6% Gurgaon, April 28, 2006: GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) today declared its financial results for quarter ended March 31, 2006. "Our strong cost containment programme has helped us completely offset rising input costs. As a result we have been able to invest aggressively behind our brands enabling us to grow our top line sales by 19.2 % leading to an increase in PAT growth of 30.6 %", said Nick Massey, Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. Sales stood at Rs. 303 Crores, PBT amounted to Rs. 54 Crores, representing a growth of 43.7 % while PAT stood at Rs. 34 Crores for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. _________________________________________________________________________
