Gurgaon, October 23, 2009: GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) today declared its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2009.
Compared with the same period last year, Net Sales at Rs 495.06 crores recorded an impressive growth of 17% with PBT growing by 14% at Rs 88.35 crores and PAT at Rs. 60.02 crores growing by 13% for the same period.
“GSKCH’s strong performance this quarter has been led through significant investment in our brands, product innovation initiatives, expansion into new product categories and managing operating costs through cost efficiency measures. These will remain our key focus areas as we continue to drive for profitable growth” said Zubair Ahmed, Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd India.
In anticipation of meeting the dynamically evolving consumer needs and expectations, GSKCH’s growth strategy has been focussed on augmenting the product portfolio by introducing innovative new products and expanding to new categories. Consistent and significant investments have been made in driving distribution and visibility of our brands.
