Q1 2012 sees strong growth for GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd

Highlights for the quarter______________________________________________________

The first quarter closed with __% growth in sales and __% in profits

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) today declared its financial results the quarter ended March 31, 2012. For the first quarter, the company reported a growth of __% over the corresponding quarter of 2011. Net sales were at ¬¬¬Rs ___ crores, with PBT growing by ___% to Rs. ___ crores and PAT growing by ___% to Rs. ___ crores for the same period.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Zubair Ahmed, MD, GSKCH said, “GSKCH has been growing consistently over the last couple of years despite all the challenges the FMCG industry has seen. GSK’s growth is the result of focus on innovation and changing with consumer needs. One of the best examples is our flagship brand- Horlicks has transitioned into a megabrand and now addresses a larger audience. Such increased penetration across categories has helped the company to perform exceptionally well and we will keep the momentum.”
