New Delhi, February 08, 2013: Taking forward its commitment of growing the oral care portfolio in India, GlaxoSmithKline today announced the launch of Parodontax – a toothpaste that helps in reducing bleeding in gums. Parodontax offers a sharply focused proposition and with this launch, GlaxoSmithKline ventures into the next big segment of oral care.

Parodontax is designed to reduce bleeding gums and help in reducing the incidence of tooth loss. The average incidence of bleeding gums globally is 33%. Hence, the problem of bleeding gums certainly exists in India, and the perfect solution is now available in Parodontax. It has a special formulation with 70% active ingredients as well as natural herbs as: Peppermint, Myrrh, Chamolie, Echinacea, Mineral Salt, Rhatany and Sage

As a part of GlaxoSmithKline’s initiative to build and establish Parodontax, the launch will be supported by extensive advertising campaigns across print, television and outdoor platforms. Additionally, to create awareness and educate consumers about gum bleeding as a serious concern, GSK would undertake an exhaustive dentist engagement programm. Priced at Rs 50 and Rs 100 for 40 gms and 80 gms respectively, Parodontax is available across retail and modern trade outlets across India.
