South Asia’s biggest inter-school fiesta culminates in Bangalore


Bengaluru, November 20, 2015: This year, Bangalore saw an extended celebration of Children’s Day as some of the brightest students from across the sub-continent competed at the Grand Finale of Horlicks Wizkids 2015. South Asia’sbiggest inter-school literary and cultural event culminated today with students from Colombo, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad being crowned as the WizTeam 2015.


The Horlicks WizTeam 2015 is:

  1. Kaveesha Samaranayake- St. Peter’s Collage, Colombo, Sri Lanka
  2. Indu Lisa Benny- Excellsior School (Kottayam), Kochi
  3. Pushtii Parekh- Queen Mary School, Mumbai
  4. Gargi Datar, Fergusson College, Pune
  5. Vignesh- Delhi Public School, Hyderabad


The winners showed extraordinary talent, both on stage and through their social projects. In addition to the prestigious WizTeam trophies, they have been awarded scholarships worth INR 1,00,000 and a 5-day educational trip to Turkey.

This year Horlicks Wizkids travelled to 35 cities across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and UAE with over 20 exciting competitions such as the Melodious Band, Freestyle Dance, Quiz, Mentor Minute to Fame, WizFie and lots more. Themed- ‘Be Awesome’, the contest hand-picked exceptional students judging them on multiple parameters ranging from emotional maturity and intelligence quotient to communication skills and decision making.

The Grand Finale jury comprised of Dr. Vidya Shetty, Director – EduMedia India Pvt. Ltd., Mrs. Swati Bhattacharya, Vice President - General Motors, Mrs. Aman Grewal, Mrs. India Worldwide 2014, Mr. Rishi Sridhar, Former Davis Cup Player for India & CEO - Syncotts International, Mr. Erdal Savri Ergen, Consul General – The Republic of Turkey and Dr. M.A Saleem, Commissioner of Police (Traffic) – Bangalore City.  


Horlicks Wizkids by Krayon is South Asia’s largest interschool fiesta with over 20 electrifying, enjoyable literary, art, talent and cultural events for students from class 1 to 12. It has successfully been running since last 13 years and has become the biggest platform for children to come forward and showcase their ability and confidence to express their views and talent.
