Responsible medication allied against Dengue

Allied Against Dengue

Dengue is ranked as the most important mosquito-borne viral disease in the world, responsible for about 22,000 deaths a year, most of which are in children – World Health Organization (WHO)

India represents about half of the global population estimated to be at risk of dengue infection – World Health Organization

With dengue continuing to spread around the world and the absence of an effective vaccine, it is hard to overestimate the challenge dengue presents. Whilst there is currently no cure or vaccine, paracetamol is indicated as the first-line therapy to treat fever — the most common symptom of dengue.

Project Goal:

Our primary goal is to be an accessible, reliable and expert partner in the fight against dengue. Our focus is on educating and uniting everyone involved in the fight against this disease, empowering them to recognize the signs of dengue fever and take the best course of action.

The Government (both central and several states) have undertaken commendable work in this area. In order to reach the required scale for our efforts we wish to combine forces with the government through grass root level mobilization, participation of local governance bodies, government schools and hospitals and engagement with local municipalities.

Through our expertise in the area of communication, our wide spread on-ground teams, technical experts and media outreach we believe we can make this initiative bigger and more impactful and affect many lives.
